HEALTH AND SAFETY FOR PLAYERS AND SPECTATORS

PLAYERS

  • Please do not wear jewellery that will get caught in the net or otherwise puncture the skin

  • FIVB indoor rules apply, do not touch the net or cross into the court of your opponent as this can cause serious injury

  • The grass is a natural playing field, every effort has been made to remove bumps and divots, but please be mindful that it is an uneven surface

  • Please protect yourself from skin burns if the ground is very dry by wearing protective clothing such as kneepads

  • We do all we can to keep the courts clear of rubbish and debris during the weekend, but please let us know at the tournament office if there is rubbish needing clearing from courts.

  • The nets are held up with ropes which we mark to help identify, please take care when playing that you don’t follow a ball and get tangled in a rope on your court or another.

  • If it rains, the organising committee will make a decision to stop play if the ground is considered to be too slippy to play. Please take extra care if we do have rain as the surface texture will change.
